Barbados is one of our favourite Caribbean islands...and it’s easy to see why! An awe-inspiring coastline, perfect temperatures and the friendliest people in the world makes the island an ideal choice for visitors and rightly earns its description as ‘The Gem of the Caribbean Sea’.
It’s no wonder that UK holidaymakers return to this paradise repeatedly. Without question, it’s an island of contrast, modern in many ways and yet clearly still influenced by the customs and traditions of the UK.

The island is easy to get around and isn’t huge at around 166 square miles.
Get out and about and explore the island, with beautiful scenery and a warm
welcome from the local Bajan people. Take a look below at our guide to Barbados:
The top of the island where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic has breathtaking scenery. At Archers Bay, you can take a path down to the cove and don’t miss the Animal Flower Cave which opens directly onto the Atlantic Ocean.
With wide sandy beaches and some dramatic cliffs the South Coast is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This coast is popular with watersports enthusiasts due to the bigger waves and stronger winds, making it perfect for kite boarding and windsurfing.
The spectacular craggy coastline and powerful Atlantic surf is such a contrast from the opposite coast, it’s simply not to be missed. On the East Coast you’ll find the famous ‘Soup Bowl’ at Bathsheba which is popular with surfers from around the world.
The calm waters of the Caribbean Sea and powdery soft sand have made the West Coast one of the most popular locations on the island, if not the Caribbean. Ideal for families with young children due to the safe swimming and easy access to the beach.
Whether your customers are planning a break with someone special or a family holiday, Barabdos is the perfect destination!
Barbados has long been associated with romance; the palm-shaded beaches, stunning locations and balmy nights create the ideal backdrop for love.
Whether your customers are planning a wedding, honeymoon or romantic break, the idyllic beaches and excellent choice of hotels, some of which cater exclusively to couples only, offer a truly memorable holiday.
Barbados and family holidays go together like sea and sand! There are few places so welcoming and safe for family groups and many of the hotels around the island are family-friendly with children’s clubs and specific family activities.
Add to this lots of soft sandy beaches, tranquil seas and special menus and you have the perfect family holiday destination. For older families, there are adrenaline-filled adventures like zip lining, kitesurfing, nature trails and much more.
